            Coming to life in 2004 Rikets started with a bang. They released their debut EP in 2006 and toured relentlessly in support of it. Sharing the stage with some of the biggest acts this band had watched and learned from the best. They now go into the market with their debut full length album which was records between tours.  ALL AMERICAN DEATH CULT streams 11 tracks and features a cover track of a very famous track. The industrial sound kicks off with “It’s Only Gonna Get Worse” which is a quickie intro that is just streams along with what could be an opening to their show. It offers some Zombie-like voice over stuff with a splash of an instrumental. It peaks your interest and leaves you wondering what the first track will give you. It flows right into “Program The Dead” with a bit of static then goes straight into the metal onslaught that the album is going to feed off of. Scott enters with a sadistic low voice, growling out lyrics while the other guys whale on their respected instruments. This screams mosh pit from every note, blood, sweat and tears that it offers. If the rest of the album hits this hard I can’t imagine what a live show would be like. “Designer Drug Hell” begins as someone is trying to tune in a radio and settles on a sweet beat. That beat continues right into the song that is a party waiting to be unleashed. At first I wasn’t sure if I hit a button and switched to a different album or not. It’s an awesome transformation from the first track which shows me the range that they have. The only thing that is left really is a soft slow track that after this and the first track would blow my mind completely into obliteration. I absolutely love this track. It has an awesome beat, sweet lyrics (if you get a chance to read them), and a great combination of vocal styles. This track is going places and could easily launch Rikets into several tiers up. “Vicious” does another little intro then gets back to the metal. The vocals are super fast and sadistic again as the drums will stomp a mud hole straight through you. They also let the guitars fly all over the place in an offering that the mosh pit would be even bigger than the opening tracks. I really don’t like it as much as the first two songs, but I think the metal heads head banging to the track will like it just as much. “The Murder” goes techno/industrial on your ass with a sick beat that moves into a killer sound. The vocals enter and take you over with amazement. They switch from style to style with ease. The backing vocals also add in some great enhancements to the track. It is strangely appealing and you should get hooked on it. The song intrigues me so much that I would like to see it live so I can belief it is in fact them performing. “Allison” is hard and heavy right from the word go. It blazes up the stage with screaming vocals and heavy hitting guitars. The drums also hit extremely hard and it all comes together. There are moments though that sound like they are playing a different song. “House of Lies” goes industrial again with some effects that give in to roaring guitars and more heavy drums. They change up the vocals again keeping you on your toes so you can’t guess what is around the next turn. “End of my Suffering” is an epic sounding track with the addition of key/pianos, sick and sadistic sounding vocals, a driving drum beat, and gliding guitars, together they for a perfect bond. It’s a tremendous track that I’m sure will draw a crowd and a following everywhere is appears. “Cry Littler Sister” features the original vocalist on the song from a popular movie from 1987, wow I was 3. This cover turns the classic from the movie The Lost Boys into an industrial powerhouse. Gerard McMann flow out to record the track, because Scott knew he didn’t want to mess up the track trying to recreate what was felt during the first recording. It adds a new twist to the song by adding depth to it. “Sold Me Out” refers to the front man’s career in Hollywood. It depicts his first taste of fame and how the love of his life, music, had to take a bad seat. The track gets really sick and twisted. The Korn/Mudvayne-like beat is the base of this rant. The guitars soar and the drums slam as the vocals take over your soul. It demands attention and that’s exactly what you will give it. They also get some great backing vocals in this one. “Sew Your Eyes” ends the album with an onslaught of tunes. The vocals are spitting lyrics at you that could cause a riot or revolution. The song hits super hard giving you a chance to go crazy as you scream at the top of your lungs right back at the band. Overall this is a great album. I was a bit hesitant to continue after putting this album in and hearing the first couple of seconds of the opening tune. That track put me into the mood to give the rest of the album a try and I’m glad I did. The album is infectious; you won’t want to turn it off. There are a couple of tracks that I wasn’t too impressed with, but the bulk of the album is really enjoyable. If you are looking to get out some aggression and release some steam this can be placed with the rest of those album in your collection. It changes up vocals styles many times which keeps the listener on their toes and also makes it impossible to get boring. This debut album is very enjoyable.
